New information has been received on the two car-pedestrian collision earlier this month.

LPD investigators reported they have identified one of the two vehicles that struck 50 year-old George W. Smith Jr., then drove away on February 3rd.

Smith was injured while crossing the intersection at Avenue Q and 10th Street.

LPD Sergeant Robert Hook said a driver had contacted investigators, but has not been charged.  It will be up to the Lubbock County grand jury to determine if there is enough evidence for an indictment. Police are still looking for the other vehicle and its driver.

If you have information, contact Crimeline at 741-1000, or go to the Crimeline tab .
