Eddie “The Dog” Moreno

Born and raised in the West Texas area, Eddie grew up listening to what was called “chicano” music or “orquesta” music with the big brass sounds.  This influenced him so much that he became a professional musician for 15 years. This allowed Eddie access to numerous radio stations throughout Texas and many other states and gave him first hand experience as to the inner workings of radio stations.

In 1988 Eddie began his radio career as a weekend jock at KTLK.  It was at KTLK that Eddie was given the name Eddie “The Dog”!! As to why that name, well you’d have to ask him!!

In 1990 began working for KXTQ-AM  ( Q95 ) Tejano radio station.  Today Eddie is the program director to what is now KXTQ-FM and now known as Magic 93.7.  Eddie is also on air from 3pm-7pm Monday through Friday.

Eddie’s goal is to continue the support of real Tejano music and continue raising awareness of what the Tejano lifestyle is all about.
